Raam Shanker

Raam Shanker, founder of Equitus Engineering Limited, is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with close to 15 years of experience across several sectors. During this time, he has worked with some high-profile clients such as European Space Agency, STFC, Samsung, Sellafield, Rolls-Royce, Pall Corporation, Babcock Group and Kawasaki to name a few. His expertise lies in the areas of mechanical engineering, product development, implementing enabling technologies, and driving Innovation.

Synopsis: The Greater Manchester Local Industrial Strategy was launched in June 2019 with focus on the five foundations of productivity and the four grand challenges. The real effectiveness of any strategy will be its delivery and there are specific things industry and government can do in collaboration to ensure this. This talk aims to bring these together with specific calls to action.
